The Absolute Absolution is a sailing training raft, and we invite people from all walks of life to apply to come on board as we voyage around the world. You do not have to have any sailing experience, nor are you expected to sign on for a specific period. Individuals are free to leave at any time in order to pursue their individual chosen goals.
There are three rules that must be agreed to by anyone coming on board:
Crew are expected to do helm watches when suitably trained, as well as participate
in general raft chores and maintenance. We offer training in sign painting and
other occupations for those interested in learning an independent trade. We
do not pay crew members. We expect crew members to be
responsible for obtaining all necessary entry visas for countries to be visited.
In addition immigration authorities in many foreign countries require all crew
to have a return ticket or proof of funds to enable them to return to their
country of origin.
If you are interested in crewing on the Absolute Absolution, write
us an email at absoluteabsolution@fastmail.fm,
explaining who you are, what you have been doing with your life up to this point,
and what you would like to do if you came on board and with your future life.
